Dr. Sergei Soares has a PhD and a master’s degree in economics and is the new president of the Institute for Applied Economic Research ( IPEA ) in Brazil.
IPEA is a Brazilian government-led research organization dedicated to generation of macroeconomical, sectorial and thematic studies in order to base government planning and policy making.
